The symbolism on this beautiful ring ring has an ancient and fascinating history.

The most obvious symbolism is the solar face, symbolizing the intelligence of the sun which goes by many names such as Sol, Helios, and Ra.

The next thing we notice is the crowned serpent eating it's own tail. This symbol is called the Ouroboros but this version was designed in 1735 by Abraham Eleazar for his Alchemical work called "Donum Dei" which is Latin for *drum roll please* .. "God's Gift"!

Inside the Ouroboros is the Wheel of Fortune from the Rider-Waite Tarot deck published in 1909. Around the circle reads "TARO" and "יהוה" (Hebrew for YHVH aka Yahweh). Inside the circle is an 8 spoked wheel with 4 alchemical elemental symbols attached:
Left = Salt (Earth)
Top = Mercury (Water)
Right = Sulfur (Fire)
Bottom = Aquarius (Air).
